Types of Information Collected. We may collect certain personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide to us when you purchase products, create an account, and/or contact us for customer service purposes. The types of information that may be collected include name, address, email address, telephone number, country of origin, and, as applicable, billing information. Other voluntarily provided information may include testimonials, product descriptions and/or reviews, and information provided when you participate in sweepstakes or contests, message boards, and other interactive areas of the Site. While you are not required to submit any information to the Site, if you do not provide the requested information, you may not be able to access or use some of the features and functions of our Site and we may not be able to provide you with certain services. Chic Door uses your information to complete transactions, respond to your requests, deliver the products and services you request, and notify you of promotions, updates, or special offers.

How We Use the Information. You may unsubscribe from emails at any time by following the “unsubscribe” option that appears in Chic Door emails or contacting Chic Door. Any information you voluntarily submit for posting to the Site (for example, if you post vendor feedback or a product review) becomes available to the public. Even if you remove the content, copies may remain viewable in cached or archived pages if other users have copied or stored your content.
Chic Door may share information with subsidiaries and other affiliated companies, and with other carefully selected vendors (boutiques) and business partners with whom we work (collectively, “Site Affiliates”). We may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third party vendors, but these statistics do not include personally identifiable information. We may disclose information we collect from you if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary (a) to obey the law or comply with legal process served on us or our affiliates; (b) to protect and defend our rights or property or the rights or property of other users of our Site; or (c) to act in an emergency to protect the safety of users of our Site. On a limited basis, we may also disclose your Personal Information to certain Site Affiliates for their use in contacting you, when we reasonably believe their products or services are complementary to your interests or Chic Door’s business.
We may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide personal information to the appropriate governmental authorities. We reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful.
Change in Control. At this time, we do not sell or disclose your personally identifiable information to third parties. However, this policy may change and information may be disclosed in the event of bankruptcy, merger, or acquisition. In the event that Chic Door is acquired by or merged with a third party entity, we reserve the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer or assign the information we have collected from our users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. In the unlikely event of our bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, or assignment for the benefit of creditors, or the application of laws or equitable principles affecting creditors’ rights generally, we may not be able to control how your personal information is treated, transferred, or used.
We collect general statistics to track user trends on the Site. These statistics include hits to our server, the types of browsers used to access our Site, page views, and navigational patterns. The information that is collected in this manner does not provide us with any personally identifiable information about our users. Chic Door also uses devices called “web beacons” to help us identify when emails sent to you have been received and read. In order to prevent the introduction of viruses and hackers into the Chic Door site we may collect information, such as IP addresses, into a log file to be used to identify potential hackers of the Chic Door site.
Collection of Information by Third Parties. The Site may contain advertising which provides links to other sites whose information practices may be different than ours. In the course of advertisements being served to you, a unique third-party cookie or other advertising technology may be placed on your browser. This advertising technology uses information derived from your visits to the Site to target advertising within the Site. This information can be used for many purposes, for example, to ensure that you do not see the same advertisements repeatedly. Children’s Privacy. The Site is in no way directed at or intended for children and/or any persons under the age of 18. As such, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age without the prior, verifiable consent of a parent or legal representative. Website visitors may be asked to provide their date of birth or a parent’s email address as a verification mechanism. If we become aware that a child has posted any personal information on our website, we will remove the content.
